Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They serve different purposes: some are necessary for the site to function at all, others collect information about how the site is used, and others remember your preferences between visits.
This page explains exactly which cookies we use at Respawn Signal, why, and how long they persist.
2. Cookies we use
Essential cookies
These cookies are required for the site to work. They are set without your consent because they cannot be refused without breaking site functionality.

|---|---|---|
respawnsignal_cookie |
Records your cookie consent preference so the banner does not reappear on every page | 365 days |
Analytics cookies
These cookies are only set if you click "Accept all" in the cookie banner. They help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. They do not identify you personally.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga |
Distinguishes users for analytics (Google Analytics) | 2 years |
_ga_* |
Persists session state (Google Analytics) | 2 years |
We have configured analytics to anonymise IP addresses. We do not use analytics data for advertising purposes.
3. Cookies we do not use
We do not set advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not share data with advertising networks. We do not use third-party tracking pixels.
4. Managing your preferences
When you first visit the site, a banner appears at the bottom of the page asking for your cookie preferences. You can accept all cookies or choose essential cookies only.
To change your preference later, you can clear your browser cookies and reload the site, which will re-display the consent banner. Most browsers also allow you to manage cookies through their settings.
Refusing analytics cookies has no effect on your ability to use the site.
5. Browser controls
All major browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies through their privacy or settings menus. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent some parts of the site from working correctly. Instructions for common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences › Privacy › Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions
6. Changes to this policy
If we change which cookies we use, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Significant changes will also be reflected in the cookie consent banner.
